As a senior at Slippery Rock University, I can speak for most in saying that the thought of graduating in May is scary to say the least. My title suggests to, "be your own IT girl", and to stand out in a crowd full of job-hungry graduates will be quite possibly the hardest task in my life thus far. This blog will suggest insight into the crazy minds of young women and will give inspiration to those individuals who are looking at other women for guidance, rather than looking at themselves first. Marilyn Monroe once said, "Give a girl the right pair of shoes, and she can conquer the world." All women have the potential to do great things with their lives; they just need to find what it is they're looking for.
My name is Kaitlyn Yeager and I hope that my blog can serve as a purpose not only for my New-Media Journalism course, but also for young women who want to take a break from their Facebook or Twitter pages. Obviously I enjoy being a woman, but I have to admit that ESPN is always on my web browser. Guys say women shouldn't enjoy watching or knowing about sports, but we all have a right to follow our own hobbies. So, for you other females who enjoy keeping up with Steeler Nation or Tim Tebow, I've found a great blog for sports news that I'll probably often refer to, called Bleacher Report.
Hopefully through this blog, I can portray a sense of power through the eyes of young women who have the same interests, and fears that I have. I love quotes, so I will always be posting new sayings and phrases that you can enjoy. Anyone who enjoys health and exercise, fashion and entertainment, and yes sports, should enjoy my daily rants and raves.
